Sleep apnea

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder that occurs in the sleep and causes breathing pauses when you are asleep. These pauses can lasts seconds or minutes, and might happen up to 30 times an hour. Then breathing usually starts again itself.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a chronic disorder, and to diagnose it properly you’ll need to have s few tests done during the sleep, so it can not be diagnosed during visits to the medical center in the normal hours.

If this disorder is left untreated, it can be a cause of:

  • heart failure
  • heart problem
  • diabetes
